As temperatures rise, produce of all kinds—from sweet berries to leafy greens— is ready to grow to fuel local farmers’ markets.
Farmers markets all around the county are an opportunity to indulge in seasonal produce, unique small business goods and support local vendors while getting outside bright and early.
The Franklin Farmers Market, 237 W Monroe St., will run through Sept. 13 this year, after being nominated as one of the state’s best markets last year and earning second place.
Franklin’s Farmers Market has become a staple within the community, operating for over 13 years with more than 1,500 attendees each week, open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.
