Art has played a role in crafting the charm, character and charisma of downtown Franklin.
Funky murals of Benjamin Franklin, frolicking animals and more dot city buildings and businesses. Events such as the Ethos Celebration of the Arts bring hundreds of people to shop artist booths, see performances and take part in creating themselves. Shops and boutiques show off paintings, sculptures, jewelry and other works made by area artists.

Discover Downtown Franklin, the city’s Main Street promotion group, has designated this Friday’s late-night event as the first Downtown Art Walk. Local artists will have their work on display in 15 locations, as businesses extend their hours and plan special activities for guests. Many of the artists will be present at the business locations as they sell their work.
