NOTE: Due to the weather forecast and in the interest of creating the best possible experience for attendees, vendors and partners, we are moving the 2026 event to Saturday, May 30, at the Drivehubler.com Amphitheater at Youngs Creek Park - 237 West Monroe Street. This will coincide with the first date of the Farmers Market.
The 22nd annual Strawberries on the Square event is a fun day to kick off Franklin's summer festival season! Get your fill of fresh-made strawberry shortcakes while enjoying free admission, live music, play zones, balloon art and glitter tattoos. Make it a hang-out day (or evening) for your work team, friend group, or the whole family. (If the line looks long, don't worry, we are well-practiced and super-speedy!)
Enjoy all this, absolutely FREE: Admission, live music all day, balloon art and glitter tattoos (from Noon to 6 p.m. only), JCPL Family Fun Zone, Festival Country Fun Plaza Games (at Toodleydoo Toys). Also for purchase, Back to the Future will be showing at The Historic Artcraft Theatre and food trucks will be available throughout the day.
Ten food vendors, including: Chomp'z Truck, Cotton Candy University, Franklin Lion's Club BBQ, Greek's Pizzaria, Jones Kettle Corn, Lainey's Watering Trough, Legendary Food Truck, My Super Taqueria, Tapp Room Bar Cart (non-alcoholic) and The Oriental Cookery.
