For the past 15 summers, Franklin leaders and volunteers have been cultivating, tending and growing the city’s farmers market.
Vendor booths are plentiful. Visitors and shoppers pack booths. Entertainment and exercise classes bring a diverse group of people to the heart of downtown.
Now, they’re reaping the bounty of their hard work — as the top farmers market in the state.
The Franklin Farmers Market was named Indiana’s Ultimate Farmers Market by the Indiana State Department of Agriculture and its Indiana Grown program. More than 1,500 people voted for Franklin’s market to secure the victory, one year after it finished runner-up in the contest.
